Emmaus
EMMAUS  WALK

On Sunday, April 19th, you are invited to commemorate the Easter day journey of discovery that Jesus made with two of his disciples from Jerusalem to Emmaus.[1]  Join fellow WELS members, friends and neighbors in our own Bay City version of the “Emmaus Walk” by joining in a leisurely 3-mile walk from Bethel Lutheran to Trinity Lutheran via the Bay City Rail Trail.

http://online.nph.net/images/PRODUCT/large/large_3303023.jpgWalkers will gather at Bethel (749 N. Pine Rd.) on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00 pm. After viewing the award-winning outreach video Come Follow Me that dramatizes Peter’s progression from the denier before the crucifixion to the preacher of repentance and salvation at Pentecost, participants will make the “Emmaus Walk” via the Rail Trail to Trinity (1010 33rd St.). The walk will take approximately one hour, but you are invited to walk at your own pace.

Snacks and refreshments will be served as we arrive at Trinity.  A shuttle service will provide transportation back to your vehicle.

Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join us in this commemorative walk. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know some of your fellow WELS members from other congregations and to share the message of salvation in Christ.
